Mahindra has unveiled teasers for its first born-electric SUVs, the BE 6e and XEV 9e. These previews showcase the final production-ready designs ahead of their official debut on November 26 in India. They offer a comprehensive look at the upcoming SUVs' design and features.
Both models are built on Mahindra's electric-native INGLO architecture, which incorporates components from Volkswagen's modular electric drive matrix (MEB) and unified cells for enhanced performance and efficiency.
The XEV 9e, based on Mahindra's XUV.e8 concept, closely resembles its production-ready form. It features pronounced wheel arches, a sculpted bonnet, a closed-off grille, and a full-width light bar. The triangular headlamp design and coupe-like roofline from the concept are retained. At the rear, the XEV 9e sports another full-width light bar. Inside, it is expected to include a unique three-screen setup, with one screen dedicated to the co-driver.
The BE 6e, on the other hand, is distinguished by C-shaped LED DRLs, a subtly curved aerodynamic bonnet adorned with an illuminated BE logo, and a striking road presence. Its high shoulder line, glossy black wheel arches, and sharp character lines further emphasize its bold design.
The BE 6e and XEV 9e will be revealed on November 26, and their official launches are planned for early 2025.
